A Note From Alice...

Following an innocent conversation whilst on a trip to India back in 2008, the idea was born to create Lily and Lionel.

Named after my late maternal grandparents and very much an ode to all the work they did in the fashion industry; my grandmother Lily was a seamstress and my grandfather Lionel was in charge of production for major store groups. Between them both they shared a love for design and detail which I have inherited.
 
I initially started this company as a way to celebrate my love affair with fabric, print and colour. Lily and Lionel began with a small collection of scarves and has grown into the womenswear and lifestyle brand it is today.
This year, I am most looking forward launching new and exciting categories that I have been dreaming of since we started. I wish I could share more, for now you’ll just have to watch this space…

In the meantime, I’m delighted to be bringing back our spotlight series which shines a light on women who truly inspire us and drive us forwards. Many of these women I have a strong connection with and they are very much part of the tapestry of the brand.
