Season 3 is here and making Monday's that bit brighter. If you've missed it, there's 2 episodes of the new season already to enjoy and if you've not watched the series at all (where have you been?) then it's a must. Dark humour, brilliant acting - Jodie Comer's accents (!) - not to mention the styling.
Eat Nana Lily's Ginger Cake
I know I’m not alone when I say that cooking has become my therapy at present. In particular, turning my hand to a sentimental, hand-me-down recipe is bringing me joy. Here is my Nana Lily’s signature Ginger Cake mix, beautifully handwritten by my aunt Bernice. Super easy to make and one I’m going to be whipping up ASAP.
As Laura Weir so eloquently put it in her Editor’s letter in the ES Magazine: “Is music more important than television or film or anything else right now? I think so…The right song at the right time – can lift you”.
This is a throwback R&B playlist which instantly transports me to my bedroom at university or to a sticky floored nightclub with my closest friends. Amazing how certain tracks have the power to make you feel like a teenager again, if only for a few minutes
A luxury interiors, design, architecture and urban living magazine. It's my current favourite slow-read publication. Beautifully composed and printed onto FSC certified paper and independently published 3 times a year, it feels like a real treat to leaf through. You can order their issues direct from them online, supporting a small independent publication from the comfort of your own home. I especially love the current issue as there is a 6 page feature on my best friend and interior design guru @kerrilipsitz.
This is literally the perfect dress for me right now, the fabric is cool against my skin and it’s soft and has such a relaxed fit with a long ankle length that doesn’t go near the floor (not sure about you but the germaphobe in me right now wouldn’t dare wear a floor sweeping maxi outdoors). Basically, I’m a huge fan (even though I’m a bit biased), you’ll find me meandering in the Heath wearing it this weekend. Why? Just because.
Netflix has introduced a new way to watch - this time, with family or friends, virtually. You can download the free application for use with Google Chrome on your laptop and Netflix will do the rest. It synchronises video playback and adds group chat to your favourite Netflix shows, meaning you can host a movie night, no matter how far away everyone may be. Elle's choice this week is I, Tonya with the brilliant Margot Robbie.
