In the midst of wedding planning, my best friend and I decided to take some time out of the chaos and visit the Bamford Haybarn spa in Fortnum & Mason.
The original Bamford Haybarn is in the Cotswolds but this new outpost is a heavenly oasis in the heart of one of my favourite department stores.
Bamford is an organic brand that I was first introduced to after our press day at the Connaught Hotel, when I was kindly gifted some products to try. I love their products so have always been keen to try out their spa.
My therapist, Annabel, lead me into one of the spa’s treatment rooms, all white fluffy towels and simple décor. I fell swiftly in love with Annabel, whose calm and caring demeanor made me feel instantly relaxed, before my de-stress massage treatment had even begun. She knows everything there is to know about essential oils, like that peppermint and lavender are the best scents to soothe stomach cramps that women are blessed with.
My treatment started with an Epsom salt foot bath, and then I got to choose which essential oil I wanted for my massage. I naturally gravitated to the geranium oil, which Annabel noted was interesting as geranium is perfect for balancing (I was learning so much!). A heated massage bed was all I needed to make the whole experience even more delightful.
After our treatments we headed down the road for a light dinner at The Wolseley. All in all, the whole day was the stuff the dreams are made on. For anyone looking for the perfect treat or in need of some serious TLC, I would highly recommend the Bamford Haybarn for a serene day away from the madness of the city.
