Drapers is the Bible for anyone in the fashion industry - they are the leaders when it comes to news and trends - so when its editors Ana Santi and Graeme Moran agreed to be part of our Spring/Summer 2013 look book we were just a little bit honoured. Wearing our Wanda Coral scarf, Ana is here to show us how women in business roll:
"Drapers recently moved offices from Camden to Old Street and we now have a “clean-desk” policy: we never have the same desk every day and we have to clear all our stuff away every night! That means that I no longer have one place that inspires me; my inspiration comes from meetings with contacts, exploring new eateries and shops in Old Street, wandering around my new neighborhood of Kensal Green (I’ve also recently moved house) and working from a cool café (it’s a lovely part of London).
Most recently, I was inspired by an event we held: The Drapers Next Generation Academy, a one-day networking event for the future stars of the fashion industry. Lily and Lionel’s Creative Director Alice Stone was part of this last year. It was inspiring to hear from the established industry leaders who spoke at the event and from the young delegates, who are keen to rise up the ranks of our industry. But if I need some time in the office to think, then I head to our library – it’s peaceful and I love the armchairs and colours of the walls."
