Not only is today the first day of Milan Fashion Week, but also the official start of autumn, and we’re fully embracing both. Everyone knows that the Italians love their accessories, so it’s only fitting that we talk about the pieces we’re craving to put the spring in our sartorial step for the new season.
Whilst we have our eye on some over-the-knee boots and a delicate Jessica de Lotz seal pendant necklace, we’re also super excited to debut our very first collection of heavy Italian knits and lightweight, boldly printed pieces. The quality of these Italian fabrics are sublime, having been hand-spun, and we have chosen them specifically for their warmth and soft feel.
Arabella Greenhill, Fashion Director of InStyle Magazine and first star of our Lily and Lionel Woman video series is already a fan of the Bailey scarves. The Bailey scarf is crafted from a blend of wool and polyamide, a fabric that creates that soft, slightly fluffy yet substantial hand-feel for a luxurious blanket scarf that is the ultimate cosy accessory. We’ve created it in three classic colours – navy, grey and camel – so that whatever coat you have hanging by your front door, there’s a piece to coordinate with it perfectly.
We love how Arabella’s styled her Bailey Navy Wool Scarf with culottes and a classic blue shirt.
Other pieces like our Isla leopard print, which you’ll spot Arabella wearing in our film (pun absolutely intended), are made from a more lightweight blend of modal and cashmere, which are ideal if you’re looking for a versatile piece for your wardrobe. For our campaign, we chose to shoot the Isla Rouge with a distinctly Seventies rock ‘n’ roll vibe, but if that’s not your style then opt for a classic loop to keep you warm.
